The metal base gives it a nice weight, so it stays put on my shelf without tipping over. I wasn't sure about the size, but at 2.1 inches across, it's compact enough for a bookshelf while still having presence.

I placed mine on my desk and the energy-infused metal feels substantial, not cheap. The Pi Yao is small enough to fit anywhere but the detail on it is impressive.

The base is surprisingly sturdy for its size and the pi yao sits perfectly level on it. The metal finish has a nice, subtle sheen that doesn't look cheap at all. I've had it on my desk for a week and it adds a calm, focused energy to the corner where I placed it.
