Quick Answer
For 2026, the Flying Star #5 (Five Yellow) brings potential illness and misfortune to the sector it occupies. The most effective cure is to hang a Hanging Wulou with 6 Emperor Coins in that sector to suppress the harmful energy. This metal wulou, mantra-enhanced, directly counters the Earth-related affliction of the Five Yellow.
Understanding the Flying Star #5 (Five Yellow)
In Feng Shui, Flying Star #5, also known as the Five Yellow or Wu Huang, is one of the most feared annual afflictions. In 2026, this star brings illness, financial loss, and general misfortune to the area it flies into. Its energy is considered stagnant and harmful, requiring immediate and correct action to neutralize.
The Five Yellow is an Earth element star, making metal and water cures particularly effective. The key is to suppress its energy rather than activate it. Avoid renovations, moving heavy furniture, or starting new projects in the afflicted sector during the year.
Symptoms of the Five Yellow Affliction
Common signs include persistent health issues among family members, unexpected financial setbacks, increased arguments, and a general feeling of stagnation or bad luck in the home. If you notice these symptoms in a specific area of your home or office, it may be where the Five Yellow has landed.
Diagnosis: Is Your Home Affected by the Five Yellow?
- Symptom: Unexplained health issues or financial losses in a specific area of your home. Check if this area aligns with the 2026 Five Yellow sector (consult a Feng Shui calendar).
- Likely Cause: The Flying Star #5 has landed in that sector for the year 2026, bringing stagnant Earth energy. Do not attempt renovations or major activities there.
- Corrective Action: Hang the Hanging Wulou with 6 Emperor Coins in the afflicted sector. The metal wulou suppresses the Earth energy, while the coins attract positive chi. Ensure the wulou is hung securely and not placed on the floor.
- When to Stop or Choose Another Option: If the afflicted sector is a bedroom, avoid hanging the wulou directly above the bed. Instead, place it near the door or window. If symptoms persist, consult a professional Feng Shui practitioner for a personalized remedy. This cure is effective for most cases, but individual circumstances may require additional measures.
